Mad Hatter

Not sure if this is Paul Weller as too shy to ask but found this lookalike in Melbourne pre the gig at the Forum. In true modernist style he grunted ok to a photo and then refused to smile...bit precious I know but it is rocknroll..
The purple hat was a little clockwork orange a little St Trinians and a whole lot of fun !!

Mod day afternoon

This is Ollie and he is the smartest most handsome gentleman and to get in the mood of Paul Weller or God as we prefer to call him coming to town Ols donned his best cravatte.
In true modernist style we also could not get a smile out of him .

Oh no I was meant to be a brunette!!

I recently found this amazing old retro free standing hair drier and could not resist having a play with it. It fully works well and I am deciding whether to turn it into a lamp- how cool would it look in a hair salon or a 50s diner for example.
Sadly my poor model sat under there a bit too long with the control knob and look what happened...

Gosh its Summer

Here in Nook Vintage we are positive folk who look beyond the hail, constant rain and leaks in the roof and project that summer is coming soon so we have kitted out the store in a summer vibe.
This summer theme is hopefully going to rub off on you our beloved customers and have you stocking up on the sun oil to relax in our vintage deckchairs in a range of colours. If that does not grab you how about our lovely patriotic flags from old Aussie to British bunting (made to order) and brighten up the home or garden .
We at Nook Vintage also know that when winters over you need to store all the duffel coats and wellies somewhere so we have dozens of great storage solutions for you from metal trunks, wooden crates, and shipping containers that also double up as a ecclectic coffee table if needbe.
Bring out the Barbie and get the outdoor setting sorted with our stunning rustic benches where no set are the same ! All recycled timbers and perfect for sitting on the verandah with a Pims or having the family retire on after a game of outdoor cricket.

So put the cold winter behind you and feel the warmth in our store as Summer is already here......

Fashion Journal Instore Shoot

A great full length of the gorgeous Ali modelling an amazing London sequinned flapper dress in our store "Nook Vintage" yesterday and there were a few more costume changes as we picked out the cream of the crop for the Fashion Journals new edition out next week.

Come in and see our new seoson stock which consists of lots of colour and pretty florals in muted tones,
For the Spring Carnival there is plenty of show stoppers with lots of glamour and a ecclectic muddle of hats from the yesteryears to the modern-come and try ...

On the homewares front there are more new benches for indoor and out, rustic tables for all occassions, pigeon holes and a three foot tresstle that would fit the entire family -we are talking three generations- for dinner !!!

Supermodel Alert !!

It was hard to get the gorgeous Ali out of bed for less than ten quid but she did it in the name of "Nook Vintages" recent fashion shoot for Fashion Journal and we are really grateful. Looking angelic in a original UK flapper style dress from London Ali almost bedazzled all traffic to Smith St with her gold sequinned ensemble (which is for sale by the way)
The vintage cream wrap is just beautiful and in excellent condition and perfect for instant glamour. Think Spring Carnival !!

I will update the blog with more photos as soon as I recieve them but check us out in the birthday edition of Fashion Journal out in the next week and see what our summer selection is all about.
